For many years April's Mother turned a blind eye to the abuse April's Father inflicted on her. April blames her mother for not intervening, but it seems her mother simply wanted everyone to get along.
April calls her mother on the phone when she is in the NPD Precinct, but still refuses to tell her exactly where she is.
